This high-quality license plate holder replaces the ugly original plastic holder on your BMW R nineT.The holder is made partly from steel (the frame) & partly from aluminum (the license plate). The parts are powder-coated black as a finish. This holder is ideal for anyone who wants to keep their original rear light and leave the pillion subframe on the motorcycle. This is because the tubes of the license plate holder perfectly continue the line of the rear pillion frame. In addition, the original rear light and the original indicators can simply be reused. Alternatively, small accessory indicators can also be fitted (we recommend ordering our blinker adapters for optimum installation.) We were also annoyed by the very large / long license plate light and the huge reflector. Due to the large reflector at the top, the license plate sits very low with the original holder, which doesn't make the view from behind any more attractive. It is simply screwed under the LED bracket and then nestles perfectly in the design of the stripe rear. The especially nice thing about the new Short version is that the license plate sits directly under the LED bracket and not as with almost all other rear from the market a good deal to the rear of the nineT protrudes.The license plate size is 170 x 100mm, which covers any license plate size of any country. To realize the short license plate holder legally, we had to reach into the bag of tricks a bit. Due to the short rear end of the R9T motorcycles, it is not possible to construct a license plate holder that keeps the specified 30° angle and at the same time ensures that the license plate does not come into contact with the rear wheel when the motorcycle compresses really strongly. So we came up with an ingenious adjustment for the license plate that makes it possible to adjust the angle of the license plate.This allows the license plate to be set a little steeper in continuous operation, which of course also looks more awesome. For the TÜV visit or a traffic control is a seconds quick grip with some force on the license plate and everything is legal.
