Product number: | CB12487.6 |
item number: | 7970527 |
DID ZVMX BlackLine chain set complete for all models 1200cc engines with 525 chain.
Series ratio of the motorcycles see table below.
Attention not all gear ratios are possible or make sense. See model specific descriptions below.
ATTENTION Euro 5 models: For Euro 5 vehicles, the ECU must be reprogrammed when the transmission ratio is changed. This requires the OBD Bluetotth adapter + the Tune ECU programme (the Bluetotth adapters can be found under the accessories in this description).
Veuillez vérifier au préalable dans le programme Tune ECU s'il est possible de régler le rapport souhaité (tous les rapports ne sont pas possibles pour tous les modèles).
DID BlackLine chain set 525 chain set.
If you want it to be nice and black and inconspicuous, the black DID chain is just right for you. Black plates with silver rollers.
The chain kit comes with a rivet lock.
The kit includes a very high quality DID chain, a chainring (choice of a black steel chainring or a stealth chainring in gold / black) and a chain sprocket.
A bit further down in the description, you have to pack your desire gears to the set.
In addition, a rivet lock is included.
Tip:
- We recommend for safety even a new sprocket lock plate with the chain set to order (see accessories article in this description).
- In addition, you will find in the accessories still beautiful, black chainring nuts for all who want to have it completely black.
Serial translation
model | chainring | pinion |
Bonneville T120 | 37 teeth | 17 teeth |
Thruxton 1200 | 42 teeth | 16 teeth |
Thruxton 1200 R | 42 teeth | 16 teeth |
Speed Twin | 42 teeth | 16 teeth |
Bobber | 37 teeth | 17 teeth |
Bobber Black 16" | 37 teeth | 17 teeth |
Speedmaster 1200 | 37 teeth | 17 teeth |
Bobber / Bobber Black / Speedmaster:
Tip: The standard gear ratio of the Bobber / Speedmaster is clearly too long, we therefore recommend to take larger 40er or 42er chainring to translate the motorcycle so something shorter. This pushes the bike down again significantly more powerful, but still does not lose top speed and the konztant jerking at low speeds is somewhat smoother.
A larger chainring than the 42 teeth is not provided in this kit for the Bobber. Who would still like to have this, which can contact us, then we put together an individual kit.
Attention:
If you have installed a side number plate carrier (e.g. the Wunderkind from our range), you need a longer chain.
If you choose a 42 chainring, you also need a longer chain.
An even longer chain is needed when using a side number plate holder in combination with a 42 tooth chainring.
(therefore please select the appropriate model in the model selection).
Bonneville T120:
Tip: The standard gear ratio of the Bonneville T120 is clearly too long, we therefore recommend to take larger 40 or 42 chainring to translate the bike with it a little shorter. This pushes the bike down again significantly more powerful, but still does not lose top speed and the konztant jerking at low speeds is somewhat smoother.
A larger chainring than the 42 teeth is not provided in this kit for the Bobber. Who would still like to have this, which can gladly contact us, then we put together an individual kit for him.
Attention:
Triumph has changed the swingarm length of the Bonneville T120 over the years (the newer models have a slightly longer swingarm). So that we can pack you the right chain to the chain kit, you have to choose the right model in the selection above. How you can check/determine which swingarm your Bonneville has, you can see in the product photos.
Thruxton 1200 / Speed Twin:
Tip: In our opinion, the Thruxton & Speed Twin models from the factory have a fairly appropriate gear ratio. But if you want it even shorter, we recommend the 44 tooth chainring.
For a slightly longer ratio, we would go to a 40 tooth chainring and / or a 17 tooth RItzel.
Scrabmler 1200:
Tip: In our opinion, the Scrambler 1200 models have a suitable ratio from the factory. Who wants to have it but even shorter, for nch more punch in the field, we recommend the 46 teeth chainring.
For a slightly longer ratio, we would go to a 42 teeth chainring and / or a 17 teeth RItzel.
To the RK chain:
As the successor to the proven high-performance chain ZVM2, special attention was paid during the development of the ZVM-X to the diverse loads that occur in everyday life. The tensile strength only indicates the breaking load of a chain determined statically in the laboratory, but not the resistance to the forces that occur in practice.
For this reason, the ZVM-X focuses primarily on strength in use.
-increased tensile strength and
-lower weight compared to the ZVM2
-very high wear resistance and up to 50% reduced friction losses due to the patented X-ring technology.
