Stub handlebar kit for Triumph Speed Twin 1200 / RS
A complete stub kit from the original Triumph accessories – everything you need for installation is included. In addition to all the mounting materials, the set also includes a shorter clutch cable. And of course, installation instructions are also included.
With this kit, you not only give your Speed Twin a striking café racer look, but also a completely new riding experience. The sportier seating position with a strong focus on the front wheel provides a more direct connection to the road. Anyone who rides a bobber knows: you either love it – or you don't.
This kit is a good middle ground: the handlebars are comparatively high, giving you a flatter seating position that is still suitable for everyday use.
Lowering compared to the original:
Speed Twin 1200 RS: 90 mm lower
Speed Twin 1200: 105 mm lower
Ex factory, the Thruxton R - RS has pretty high stub clamps installed. On the one hand, this does not look very nice and on the other hand, many do not like the handling. The high, original stubs are nothing half and nothing whole. It conveys no real stub feeling, because you sit so upright but also not the feeling of a handlebar, because they are too close together.
Therefore, we offer LSL 3 different stub clamps that provide a lower position. The heights of the different clamps you can see in the photos.
In addition to the clamps you need new steering tubes (the original ones can not be used). You can find the steering tubes under the accessories in this description.
If you want to continue using the original Thruxton handlebar end mirrors, you will need a set of end weights (see accessories in this description).
The clamps are gieleifert with ABE and do not need to be registered.
Handlebar drilling template for the armature lock
When fitting a new handlebar or stub on all Triumph models with standard 22mm or FatBar (inside thick outside 22mm) handlebars, it is necessary to drill two holes in the new handlebar. The original fittings are then locked over these. On the water-cooled Triumph models from 2016 onwards, there is also a hole in the handlebars on the throttle grip side on models with 1-inch handlebars.
As it is not exactly easy to drill a hole in round material (such as a handlebar) and they also have to be exactly opposite each other, we offer this drilling template. This is simply placed around the handlebars and screwed in place. This makes it very easy to drill the two holes exactly opposite each other.
Beautiful milled stumbling clamps with tubes in black. This not only looks great, but also changes the seat position. The stubs are adjustable in many directions as well as in the brackets, so that everyone can adapt to their individual needs (see photo).
