The fork of the Thruxton 1200R is factory tuned much too tight. The rebound and compression damping is simply completely overdamped! The chassis in the front area is extremely tough and also uncomfortable.
We create remedy! Change of the fork internals and the fork oil. We adapt the shimpaket for rebound and compression stage and exchange the fork oil (other viscosity). We also adjust the fork to suit the rider's weight and driving characteristics.
This makes the front of the Thruxton 1200 R much more comfortable without losing the necessary sportiness. The adjustment range of compression and rebound gets a meaningful range in which you can adjust between sporty-tight and comfortable.
The fork spring itself does not have to be replaced, as the spring rate is well chosen ex works. Here we adjust the spring preload accordingly.
For the conversion, we need the rider weight (incl. motorcycle clothing) and the desired riding characteristics (more sporty, more comfortable).
The customer receives a data sheet with our settings.
